Are you ready for BLOG TAKEOVER, day 5?

It's Aimes here from Crafting Confessions , totally gatecrashing blog stylee! Let's get this party started! LOL!
OK, ok so I'm not actually gatecrashing as I was invited over here by Jill. Boy was I was totally honoured with such a responsibility and jumped at the chance to hang out around here for a day. So I feel that it's only polite as the hostess to offer you a drink; tell you what, I'll put the kettle on for us and whilst it's boiling share a card with ya *wink*
As you probably know, Jill is playing a little role reversal whilst she has a blast at CHA (Am I jealous? Moi?! In a word - Yup!) and it's me who gets to pick a card of hers to be inspired by. Sounds easy, huh? Well have you checked out Jill's gallery? There's inspiration ooozing outta every creation of hers! Still, I had to narrow down my choice to one card of here and picked this beauty:

What drew me to this card? Well not only Jill's amazing attention to detail when it comes to colouring, but I also loved the idea of using a tag on a card. I mean, I have some tag dies but hardly use 'em enough. So out came a tag die, some scrummy new flower stamps and I got inky:

Now my colouring skill is nothing close to Jill's but I do love me a good colouring session and I've had these new stamps from Verve that have been waiting ever-so-patiently to be inked up. But not only do I love that I got to have a play with my Promarkers, I also love that Jill even inspired me to cut up some patterned paper that I've been hoarding and attach it to a card too! I think I've only got about a million sheets of the stuff to use LOL!
Ooooh, do you hear that? The kettle's just boiled so I'm gonna go make us that cuppa...
Thanks so much to Jill for trusting me with her blog today - I hope I've tidied up after myself LOL!

Aimes! You sure now how to make a girl SMILE BIG! Your post has me laughing and smiling and oogling at your beautiful card! Thanks, my friend!

And don't worry-this fun week of takeovers isn't over yet. I'll have a bonus post for you tomorrow by another incredibly talented stamper- hope you'll stop by!

Inspired by...Amy *Day 4*

Wow! I have to begin by saying thanks to all of you for your touching comments and well wishes on my post yesterday. You really touched our hearts. And when I say "our hearts" I mean not only myself, but also my husband and my family. Your kindness is absolutely overwhelming and heart warming. Thanks does not seem adequate in expressing my gratitude.

Okay, now onto the regular routine around here! LOL (and I had a couple of questions yesterday if I would still be blogging here on Inspired by... The answer is OF COURSE! I'm not going anywhere. Sorry, you're stuck with me for good.) Here is our last inspiration card by the SUPER talented Amy: Clean and simple cards like this one by Amy are SOOOOO hard to create. They may look simple but they really aren't when it comes to designing them. I love, love, love Amy's black and white color scheme with the POP of pink in the gemstone. I decided to stick with this color scheme on my card:

The rose, Penny Black Rosa, was stamped and colored with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and the highlights were colored with the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Pastel Pencil in white. After coloring, I cut the rose out and mounted to Spellbinders Nestability Labels14 using dimensional adhesive. To create the background I added Black Soot Distress Ink to white cardstock and then stamped Penny Black Lace-Edged with Black Soot Distress Ink as well. Sentiment by Penny Black Flower Gallery.

BIG thanks to Amy for her awesome inspiration this week! I know you'll want to add HER BLOG to your favs if you haven't already. See you on Monday with a new PB&J Video Tutorial and a new featured artist on Tuesday. Oh, and I'd love to see what you come up with for the CASE Study Challenge Blog this week (it's inspired by me!!). I'm LOVING seeing and commenting on all the cards entered. You still have lots of time to play along- details HERE. Thanks again for popping by!! HUGS!

CASE Study Challenge with Amy

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share that it is my next week as the muse over on the CASE study challenge blog. It was SUCH a treat to check out each and every entry for last week's challenge, I sure hope you'll play along this week, too! Here is this week's inspiration card by yours truly: And here's my take for this week:

I began by stamping Penny Black 3865K Gossamer in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a white piece of cardstock cut into a circle. I also stamped it onto an extra sheet of white cardstock paper. The flowers and leaves were colored with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and Pastel Pencils. I next I cut them out and adhered them to the circle using dimensional adhesive. The circle was distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and and the sentiment, Penny Black 30-032 Enjoy Life, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. To create the background I stamped Penny Black 40-048 Paisley Outline using VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder, and set with heat. Over the top of the embossing I applied Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Now, because the super talented Amy is our featured artist this week AND she is a design team member for the CASE Study Challenge blog, we have her take on the original inspiration, too. I love how she took the circular element and text background and made it her own. Absolutely stunning!

See you here tomorrow for our next gorgeous card by Amy. HUGS!

Here's our next clean and simple inspiration card by the lovely Amy: Love this bold and graphic design of Amy's. And here's my take:

Penny Black, 4036K Poppy Poem, was stamped onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers. The yellow background was created by coloring around the floral image with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Pastel Pencils. Once the remaining white areas were all colored I blended the yellow and orange using my finger tip. Sentiment banner and card base distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Sentiment by Penny Black 30-014.

Thanks so much for stopping by--see you tomorrow with a fun post!

Inspired by...Amy

This week's featured artist is Amy Wanford! She really caught my eye over on the CASE study challenge blog. I love her clean and simple style- be sure to check out more of her awesome creations on her BLOG. Here's her inspiration card for today: See what I mean about her clean and simple style? PERFECTION! And look at those 3 button embellishments around the circle- love, love, LOVE those!
Here is my take:

This background was created by inking white cardstock with with Distress Ink (Fired Brick, Spice Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Broken China, and Dusty Concord.) After inking, I flicked the background with water to create the water spots. Next, I repeatedly stamped Penny Black 4180J Reverie with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Sentiment by Penny Black, 3661C Wish Big.

Thanks so much for popping by!
Oh, and just in case you missed yesterday's PB&J video, you can see it HERE.
